I have been put on a course of Trimethoprim 200mg for acne. One of the side affects is joint pains. Could someone please explain the reason for this.

Also would this lead to stunted height growth, as this is a sympton with Accutane. I’m 19/male/5ft 10-11

I’m only 20 and lately my knee will ache or my elbow, but mostly my wrist. If it keeps up I am going to the doctors, but anyone have any ideas of what it could be?

I’m 17 and I’ve had joint pain in both knees and both ankles since I was about 3. Recently it has spread to both hips. When a joint hurts, it is not red, inflamed, or warm. My mom has always said it’s just growing pains, but I researched it and growing pains effect "long bones" not joints. What could be causing my achy joints?

I’ve only been taking about 20 mg. per day for about 10 days but i’ve noticed some joint pain. it could be something else, but nothing that I’m aware of.

It was reported on the news a while back. Some people that took it got severe joint pain and sometimes caused death. I’m looking for the name of the antibiotic or the news show that covered it.

What would be the cause of extreme hand pain in a teenage male who has had a history of sore, aching and painful joints?

The pain was enough to redden the person’s face.

And what can help ease the pain? Would hot compresses etc help? If so what other remedies like these can be suggested?

Thanks, but there is no damage to the bone.

No fractures, no breaks, nothing.

Just severe joint pain over a prolonged period of time with definite "peaks", this being one.

The person also has knee pain in both knees which has been described as severe as well.

I’m only 20 years old, and I have frequent joint pain, mostly my knees and hips, and I very rarely drink milk or eat dairy, and I was wondering if this lack of calcium could be the reason my knees hurt. . .

I have lately not been drinking water- probably one cup a week, but i do drink tea and pepsi, 7up and coke alot, im under alot of stress, can this be causing my joint pain and headaches? im 23 yrs. old!

In the past 3 months I have developed pain in my right knee, hip and have had pain in the elbow, shoulder, etc… at different times over the past year that has lasted, but now subsided. The left side in fine all the way around. Hope it is just because I am 42.
